It's that time of year again--beautiful and all too fleeting. It's been barely a week since I shot these and already the fields are green with fresh leaves.

Still here!
Post-Covid return to work, one major move, a cat adoption, and 2 years later, I'm finally getting to my photography backlog. Because I was still shooting in the past few years. These are from an October trip to the northern California coast. I've got a whole lot more, but here's some starters! I was recently contacted by a friend, the extremely talented Heron Rana about doing the photography for her next album cover--and along with it, portraits of all the women who would star in it, several of whom had either collaborated on the album or were musicians or artists themselves. Naturally, I was stoked. Ain't no portrait like an artist portrait. We took a TON of gorgeous shots and had a fabulous time, with the hyperindustrial, maze-like UCD DeathStar as our wild and funky backdrop. Over this next week, I'll be posting photos from the shoot. First up: The stunning Eliza Deed! Strong, powerful and beautiful, Eliza is a vocalist who also does music management, artist development, and more. She absolutely rocked her shoot, and showed showed off a fierce independent spirit emblematic of her music. Be sure to drop by her Insta and give her a follow! Instagram: @theeleveledupone

One of my photographs was recently accepted for inclusion in the Newswomen's Club of New York spring 2022 photography show and auction! The Auction, hosted annually, is a charity event to help support the club's educational programs. Yolo Sunflowers at Sunset A field of Yolo County sunflowers at sunset. Gnats, flies, and other agricultural insects glitter in the evening sunlight. California produces 50-70,000+ acres of sunflowers annually--the majority of which are produced in Yolo County. I was privileged to get the chance to meet up with an out-of-state internet friend (in person!) and go for a hike together in the Berkeley Hills. It was a lovely time and a rare opportunity, and we were lucky enough to have a stunning day to spend together on top of it all: cool weather, clear skies, and great views.
